Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)
As a dynamic interactive multimedia service, WorldGroups, LLC (hereafter, "GROUPS") supports both creative expression and protection of each creator's intellectual property rights. We are committed to respecting intellectual property laws.
GROUPS complies with our legal obligations under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Upon receipt of a DMCA notice (as indicated below) we may remove or disable access to material claimed to be the subject of infringing activity, and we may disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of GROUPS and/or others. We may also document notices of alleged infringement on which we act.
To assist us in creating a safe and nurturing platform for law-abiding artistic expression, and pursuant to the procedures described under the DMCA, if you believe that you have found an instance of copyright infringement or other intellectual property infringement on the GROUPS service, please provide us with the following information:
- Identify with particularity the copyrighted work, personal likenesses or other intellectual property that you believe has been infringed. For example, "The property at issue is work that I own a copyright for, and is an image of..."
- Identify with specificity the material and content that you claim is infringing or has infringed the work listed in item #1 above, including identifying screen shots, URL addresses, etc. To assist you in identifying the material and content that you claim is infringing, GROUPS suggests that you utilize either of the following methods (either option will provide GROUPS with the necessary information to expedite removal of the material and content at issue):
- Each webpage that carries content on GROUPS includes a link at the bottom of the webpage which reads "Report this content as Objectionable." When you click this link, and complete the short associated form, a notice of the complaint will be sent directly to GROUPS' Compliance Department. The Compliance Department will review the content at issue, and if infringing, will remove it from the GROUPS service.
- Alternatively, you may browse the group or album at issue, click on the page which carries the copyrighted work and send that GROUPS webpage URL (not the image URL) to the Contact information below. (If you elect to use this method, you may wish to copy and paste the GROUPS webpage URL into an email which includes all of the information requested in this notice procedure.)
- Provide information reasonably sufficient to permit GROUPS to contact you by mail and email.
- Include the following statement: "I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted materials described above on the allegedly infringing web pages are not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- Include the following statement: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
- Sign the notice via electronic or physical signature.
- Send the written communication to the following address:
